"The urge to create something of purpose more than just that of beauty had been part of my design training throughout my bachelors. Thus the mind was molded as such to produce something functional and utilitarian. Having unlimited access to the studio, the library and Google allowed me to amalgamate my knowledge into my thesis.
The idea started off big…..saving plant earth.
This, the on growing threat of dengue virus that hit our side of the world and the water scarcity issue engulfing the nation got my mind running. My research left me to a possible connection to this problem and its solution in ceramics. Hence the self-watering planters were born. Rest assured I’m not curing the dengue threat any time soon."
